Accommodation Needed in Stroud

We are excited to be welcoming Ed (more from him in a moment) from South West Youth Ministries to the illuminate team from September as part of his internship. However, in order to make this happen Ed still needs accommodation. Could you provide a room for Ed? Ideally this needs to be in and around Stroud Town Centre as he doesn’t drive. Thanks to a successful grant application there is a small fund available to hosts for expenses.

Hi, I’m Ed and I’ll be moving up to Stroud in September as I’ll be the SWYM worker for The Door.

As a person, I’m confident in myself, and if I need to do something, I do it to a high standard. I enjoy being around people, and I enjoy spending time on my own as well.

During my time off from work, I tend to read, sew, or try to be outdoors, and whilst up in Stroud, I’m hoping to further my enjoyment of these hobbies as well as find new ones.

One of my passions is history, and I’m hoping to learn about the history of the town and any other interesting facts.

In my time in Stroud, I’m hoping to find my calling in life. I feel God calling me to youth work, and I want to see if this is right for me. I’m also hoping to learn more about the Bible and learn how to introduce and help people with their relationship with God.

When it comes to living with me, I’m tidy, organised, and clean. I enjoy watching TV and listening to music, and most of the time I spend lying in bed with a book. I’m always willing to help chip in with cooking and other household chores, and if you ever need me to do something, let me know, and it’ll be done. It’s not easy summing yourself up in a paragraph, but I hope this has been helpful to get an idea of what I’m like.
